Getting Around in Frankfurt, Germany

 
Getting there:

By air: Flughafen Frankfurt-am-Main is Germany’s busiest airport and second in passenger turnover to Heathrow. It is connected to the city’s Hauptbahnhof station which is only 11 minutes away. Trains leave every 10-15 minutes and the journey costs approximately €4.

By train: Frankfurt’s Hauptbahnhof Train Station is Germany’s busiest and is connected to all other main cities in the country, as well as others around Europe.

By bus: Frankfurt’s Hauptbahnhof is also where long-distance buses depart from and arrive.


Getting around:

Frankfurt public transport network of buses, trams and under and over ground lines is operated by one company, RMV. If you think you will be using a lot of public transport in the one day buy an all day ticket.
