Getting There

By air: Antwerp International Airport is mostly served by VLM airlines. So it is mostly likely that you’ll have to fly in to the National Airport Zavantem in Brussels, which is about 1 hour from Antwerp.

By bus: Eurolines and Ecolines buses connect Antwerp with locations all over Europe.

By train: Trains from the National Airport Zaventem, and from France and the Netherlands too, stop at Antwerp’s Central Station.

Getting Around

On foot: A lot of the main tourist attractions are within walking distance of each other, and the city centre is quite accessible. However, it’s quite possible you will have to use public transport during your stay.

By bus: De Lijn operates Antwerp’s bus network, which covers the entire city. Multi-trip tickets can be purchased and are good value.

By tram: The tram network is also operated by De Lijn. It is made up of 11 lines running across the city, and includes an underground section called the ‘premetro’.
