Bruges is really one big attraction - a unique mixture of gabled houses, meandering canals, magnificent squares, and narrow cobblestone streets.
As well as all the architectural splendour, however, the Belgian town also features many more attributes that are well worth checking out. From the Groeinge Museum housing works of art from Flemish masters including Van Eyck and Bosch to the Diamond Museum treating the visitor to remnants of over five hundred years of diamond polishing you need never be short of something to fill your days.
Another must is a canal trip as Bruges is another city vying for the title of ‘Venice of the North’. Make sure to go on a canal trip before you go – you will see the city from a different perspective.
